Common Wealth Games 2010 in Delhi might have become history however they changed the face of Delhi. It’s not only Delhi, as interestingly they also furthered the superiority and the élan with which the Taj Mahal stands until date.

India is incredible and the glorious Taj Mahal further glorifies the importance of this magnificent land. Perhaps that must be the reason why it kindled the Aussies, the Kiwis, the Scots, and the Canadians to embark on a free journey to Taj in wake of free train ride to Agra.

Organizing Committee in collaboration with the Indian Railways staged the event, which was whole heartedly accepted by the athletes from more than 71 countries who came from all over the world.

“The monument is awesome, nothing like we have seen anywhere. We also enjoy the scenes on the way to Agra,” – An Aussie athlete who visited the Taj from Commonwealth Games Village

What’s more, the Kiwis, the Canadians and the Scots, all of them enjoyed their due amidst one of the most spectacular monuments of the world.

The fascination to witness the glorious Taj Mahal did not spare even the smaller nations including Papua New Guinea, Falkland Islands, Trinidad, Bangladesh, and Cyprus as they also participated in the gala event to feel the captivating Taj Mahal.

“The Taj is one of the best brand ambassadors of India. Athletes who are aware of the beautiful monument are keen to experience it. We expect maximum rush now that most of the events have ended,” - Priya Singh Paul, Head - Communications at the Organizing Committee.

The credit not only goes to the glorious Taj but the Indian railways as well. The Taj Commonwealth Express that carried the travelers was equivalent to the Shatabdi Express with new coaches.
