• Day 1 : New Delhi- Agra (By Road-204 km / 3hrs)

  You will be picked up from your desired location in a luxurious vehicle at 0600 hrs. Your skilled driver will drive you safely to the historical city - Agra, located in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh in India. On reaching Agra, a representative from Travelogy India will meet you and assist you to visit the Taj Mahal & Agra fort along with the Tomb of Itmad-ud- Daula, popularly known as Baby Taj and Sikandra Fort.

  Agra: This historical city is 200 km from the capital city of India- Delhi. Agra houses three UNESCO World Heritage sites named as the Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort . As the city was once the capital of Mughal Empire, one can find many other glorious buildings and tombs from the past.

  These wondrous monuments and sites should be visited once in a lifetime. Agra has also been mentioned in the ancient epic- the Mahabharata.

  Taj Mahal: In the year 1631, construction of this iconic monument was started. About 22,000 laborers and 1,000 elephants completed the construction in 22 years. This epitome of love was entirely built using white marble (brought from every part of India and central Asia). The construction was completed in the year 1653 and included an expenditure of 32 million rupees (US $68000) approx.

  It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and has been enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage site built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Arjumand Bano Begum, popularly known as Mumtaz Mahal. This white mausoleum was built in Mughal architectural style.
  
  Old Fort: It is popularly known as the Agra Fort which was built on the banks of River Yamuna covering an area of almost 2.5 km this fort was built using red sandstone, housing several buildings inside. It has 2 major gates namely the Delhi Gate and the Amar Singh Gate.
  
  Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah: This splendid mausoleum of the father of Mughal Empress Noor Jehan, Ghias Beg is known as the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula which is one of the popular attractions of Agra. The chief tomb was built using pure white marble. Each of its walls comprises of three arches with attractive trellis screens, which have been carved so delicately that they look like as if made of ivory.
