The pilgrimage site of Yamunotri is one of the four pilgrimage sites in the Chota Chardham yatra . This is mainly the first of the four places to tour as the circumambulation starts from the West side to the east side. There is mesmerizing nature around the temple and the mountainous backdrop makes the pilgrims and visitors with inspiration. The massive majestic mountain peaks, glacial lakes, and the Sacred River Yamuna all around the holy site which is at 3293 meters elevation. Early morning drive to Barkot via Mussoorie. On the way divert route to Lakahamandal to visit the ancient Shiva temple (5 hours each side). Post darshan, drive ahead to Barkot check in hotel.
Drive to trekking point to Yamunotri - Phool Chatti. (from there trek by foot or Horse or Doli at your own cost) Rice is cooked by dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund after packing it in a cloth. Devotees can carry home this "Prasad". Take holy dip in warm water of Jamunabai Kund. Take Darshan of Yamunaji Offer "Pooja" to Divya Shila.
Return to Hanuman Chatti. Later drive back to Barkot for night halt at Hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel & drive back to Haridwar. Drop of at the Railway Station / Airport.
