Overview

There are many pilgrimage sites in India for Hindus to worship God and Badrinath is one of the most important ones. People believe that one frees himself from the trouble of rebirth if visited Badrinath Dham.

Situated in the lap of the Himalayas, this place is adored not only by Lord Vishnu devotees but even by nature-lovers. This place is known as the only one where nature and deity meet together.

The Valley of flowers is an amazing tourist attraction in Badrinath. As the name indicates, it includes more than 500 species of different flowers and even houses endangered animals. It attracts many biologists and nature lovers too.

This valley has a lot of references in Hindu scriptures. It is believed that it exists since Satyugh. Many saints and sages use to visit here to enjoy the peace and meditate for years. This valley is one of the main reasons why Uttarakhand is known to be a place where god and nature exist together.

The travel will be started from Delhi through rail. Since the rail is only possible till Rishikesh but only a few trains reach there. So, by roadway buses., the journey will continue from Haridwar. Badrinath Dham is around 536 kms away from Delhi. From Haridwar, the safest road is chosen i.e. to Joshimath and then, the valley of flowers will be visited first, and finally, after this, Badrinath Dham will be the last visit.

Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Delhi - Haridwar Railway Station (230 kms - 6 hrs)

    On the first day of the trip, all must gather at New Delhi railway station and reach Haridwar, lunch will be included. Later drive to Hardwar transfer to your Hotel. Visiting Har-ki-Pauri for Ganga Aarti in the evening and then Back to hotel with dinner included and one-night stay i.e. halt.

  • Day 2 :Haridwar - Joshimath by road (255 kms - 10 hrs)

    In the morning after having breakfast, we will drive to Joshimath Enroute you may sightseeing and Rudraprayag, Devprayag. Then, you will arrive at Joshimath. You will be checked into a hotel for a night stay (halt).

  • Day 3 :Joshimath - Govindghat - Ghangariya (15 kms drive & 13 kms trek)

    The morning after having breakfast, we will drive to Govindghat and then start with the 13 km trek for Ghangariya. On Arrival at Ghangariya, you may check into the hotel and camping, it will be an overnight stay here.

  • Day 4 : Ghangariya - valley of flowers - Ghangariya (10 kms trek)

    The morning after breakfast, we will proceed with the trek to the Valley of flowers covering a distance of 5 km. Then, after reaching there, you may explore the valley and witness the rare Himalayan flora is Brahma kamal (SaussureaObovalata), Himalayan Blue Poppy (Meconopsis Adulate) and a hundred other, enjoy the amazing weather during this journey. Then, after spending due time there, we will trek down to Ghanghariya (again a 5km distance). In the same hotel.

  • Day 5 :Ghangariya - Govindghat - Badrinath Dham (13 kms trek / 35 kms drive)

    The morning after having breakfast, we will start our trek of 13 kms again to reach back to Govindghat (similar trek as of day 03) and then, enjoy the last leg of the journey and drive to Badrinath. On Arrival at Badrinath, you will check-in at the Hotel and camp. 1 night stay here to witness this auspicious place.

  • Day 6 :Badrinath - Rudraprayag (165 kms / 7 hrs)

    Early morning at around 5-6 am, pilgrims after enjoying a bath in the Taptkund (a constant temperature of 55-degree Celcius) can have the Darshan of Badri Vishal.
    Brahamakamal is significant for PinddanShraddh of ancestors. You may visit other spots than the main temple itself, with an interesting range of sightseeing spots like Mana village marking the border with China, Vyas Cave, Mata murti temple, Charan paduka, Bhimkund, Bhavishya Badri, Ganesh Cave, and the "Mukh" of the Saraswati River. Just within the three km of Badrinath Ji. Later drive back to Rudraprayag. Checking in the hotel and staying there for a night.

  • Day 7 :Rudraprayag - Rishikesh (144 kms / 6 hrs)

    The morning after enjoying breakfast, we will drive back to Rishikesh. Then, lastly, check-in Hotel. It will be a night stay. You visit Rishikesh Local Sight Seeing beautiful places Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, Triveni Ghat, Parmarth Niketan, Shivananda and take a bath in Ganga. After Lunch, you will be headed back to Haridwar and visit the market and Hari kiPauri. This will be the last night's stay.

  • Day 8 :Haridwar - Delhi Railway Station (230 kms / 6 hrs)

    After having breakfast, you will take up a rail to Delhi. On Arrival in Delhi, you will be dropped back at Railway Station or Airport. This marks the end of the journey.
