The exhaust Dham of Uttarakhand or the Chota Char dham is one of the most essential Hindu pilgrimages in India. This wires the most honored zones of Uttarakhand - Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. There are no documents stating the reasons as to why these places got connected. Each of these places have their own surprising and shocking history. It is the intrigue and the hugeness of each of these sites that has included them among the places of sanctified journey.
Reaching in a Helicopter
If you decide to go to the Gangotri Dham on a helicopter, you will have to go to the Sahasradhara air terminal which is situated in Dehradun. You will land in the beautiful town of Harsil after which you will have to rush towards the Dham spot. This is situated at a distance of 25 kilometers by car which will take about 1 to 2 hours time.
You can reach this place by rail, road or by air. The nearest railway station is Rishikesh, the nearest journey by road is via Dehradun and Barkot and by air, the nearest airport is Jolly Grant, Dehradun.
You can also reach Kedarnath in a helicopter. You can get a helicopter to Kedarnath from Dehradun, Guptkashi, Phata and Sirsi.
Reaching Badrinath by Helicopter
You can go to this place by a helicopter as well, however, you cannot carry more than 5 kgs for each passenger. There are Badrinath safe houses that are also organized at the various tall building areas.
You arrive Dehradun airport at around 4:10 pm. The driver cum guide will receive you and then put you up in a hotel. You spend the entire day resting and preparing yourself for an exciting next day.
The guide will take you to the helipad on Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun. From here you will fly to Yamunotri. It is highly recommended that you live your hotel a little early. Stay energetic throughout the Chardhaam yatra. Then you arrive at the land of the Lords, Kharsali ( Yamunotri). There you will get a warm welcome by the handlers. They will unload your baggage and then take you to a hotel.
You can enjoy a fresh breakfast and then leave for VIP Darshan in a palki to the Yamunotri temple. This will be a trek for about 5 km. You will certainly enjoy the palki ride with the glory of nature. By lunch time, you return to the hotel after the darshan. Have your lunch and then spend a few hours relaxing. In the evening you can pay a visit to the Shani temple nearby. You can then have dinner and spend the night in a hotel.
You will now enter the most beautiful valleys in the Uttarkhand. This is referred to as mini Switzerland, Gangotri. You will then be taken to the nearby by the handlers. You will have breakfast in the early morning and then leave for the Gangotri temple. You will be able to get a VIP darshan. You will go in a cab and if you are able to tune yourself to the high altitude, you will certainly be able to enjoy the picturesque paradise on the earth- Gangotri Dham.
You will be able to get all the basic and the leisure activities that would include premium accommodation with ensuite washrooms and tasty vegetarian dishes. You can take short walks and do some local sightseeing around the beautiful unexplored valley. Your second day of the Chardham yatra by helicopter ends with a tasty dinner before falling asleep. After a morning breakfast, you live for Kedarnath the next day.
You will find natural peace, religious zest and the snow capped peaks of the Himalayas will certainly mesmerize you. This is the most heritage site among all the char dhams. You will first arrive at the Guptakashi helipad from the Gangotri. After that you will change the chopper and then fly to Kedarnath.
Kedarnath which is situated at a distance of 10 minutes from Guptkashi. Once you reach Kedarnath, you will be able to experience the changing colors of the sky. The handlers will take you to the VIP darshan in Kedarnath. You will stay in a hotel in Guptkashi. After darshan you will go back to Guptkashi and spend some time in the hotel. Finally this day will end with a sumptuous dinner.
Now you will head towards the beautiful city of Narayan, known as Badrinath. On your way, you will come across the deep valleys and the majestic views of the lofty Himalayas. Once you arrive at the Badrinath Helipad, the handlers will take you to the hotel.
Here, you will have lunch and then pay visit to Badrinarayan for a VIP darshan. In the evenings, you will spend some leisurely hours in the Mana village which is situated near the pious site of Badrinath. You can now end your day with a delicious dinner and a comfortable stay in the hotel.
In the morning, you will have a hearty breakfast and then have a darshan at the Badri Narayan temple. Then you will back to Dehradun with very positive vibes and some very pleasant memories of the Chardham yatra by a helicopter. Meet the driver at the Dehradun helipad and then finally get back to the Dehradun airport.
