The Ranthambore National Park is one of the largest and the most well known National Park in the Northern India. The Ranthambore National Park is located in the Sawai Madhopur district which is in southeastern Rajasthan. It is located 130 km from Jaipur. It is considered the famous and the former hunting grounds of Maharajas of the region of Jaipur. Ranthambore National Park is also famous for its wide variety of birds such as the cormorant, painted spurfowl, sarus crane, bronzed winged Jacana, sandpiper, kingfisher, nightjar, painted sandgrouse, great horned owl and some of the winter migratory birds.
