Delhi - Agra

You meet the crew of Maharaja Express at the Safdarjung Railway Station of Delhi. After traditional greetings and basic formalities the journey begins at 2200 hours.
Dinner and overnight stay is at Maharaja Express.

Agra

Today Maharaja Express reaches Agra early in the morning. The memorial of love, Taj Mahal is celestial as the first rays of the sun falls on it. Built by Mughal emperor Taj Mahal for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal mesmerizes tourists with its changing colours and intricate carvings. While the floral paintings and the engravings of semi-precious stones enhance the beauty of the marble edifice, the encircling greenery and ripples of River Yamuna creates an enchanting atmosphere.

Later in the day you can enjoy a champagne breakfast at the Taj Khema. Spent the rest of day at the comforts of your suite or visit the other attractions of Agra. The Itmad-ud-Daula tomb is considered to be t the draft of Taj Mahal; the sandstone staircases, marble cenotaphs, 40 feet high towers and wall inscriptions from Quran depict a perfect piece of Mughal architecture. Your next visit is to the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri. The first planned city of the Mughals, Fatehpur Sikri is wonderful with all red sandstone palaces, and with the largest gateway of the world, the Buland Darwaza with 54 metres height. You return to the train for a sumptuous lunch at the dining car

.After lunch, you are taken to the Agra Fort, also known as the Red Fort. With its rubble stone wall, six palatial palaces, marble basins and ivory fountains, this fort portrays the lavish lifestyle of the Mughal era.
You may skip this sightseeing tour for shopping unique marble inlays and checkout carpet weaving at the old Agra streets or relax with a spa treatment at one of the five start hotels of the city. Evening is colourful with a light and music show of Mohabbat, which narrates the love story of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and is loving wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
There is dinner and overnight stay at the Maharaja Express. The train leaves for Sawai Madhopur at 2045 hours.

Ranthambore - Jaipur

Today after breakfast at the train, you head towards the Ranthambhore National Park. Enjoy an elephant or jeep safari through the park to witness the Royal Bengal tigers strolling in their own mood, the sly leopards and hyenas peeping through the woods and the sambar deer grazing coolly on the soft grass. The woodpeckers, kingfishers, geese, pelicans, darters, hornbills and cuckoos are some of the varied avian species found here.

Later in the day you set off to Jaipur on Maharaja Express. Upon arrival you are taken on a majestic elephant ride to Amber Fort. With its majestic entrances and powerful architecture, the fort is impressive. You may skip this part of sightseeing for a spa treatment at one of the premium hotels of Jaipur or enjoy golf at the Rambagh golf court. You also visit the City Palace which boasts of finesse and also treasures the royal belongings, antiques and old coins of the Rajput times. Play with the baby elephants at Jal Mahal and entertain yourself with folk songs and dances at evening.

Dinner and overnight stay is at the train. We leave for Delhi today.

Delhi

Today early morning the train drifts into the Delhi railway station and the tour comes to an end. After breakfast you bid goodbye to the crew of Maharaja Express and off board the train.

The tariff of the Maharajas’ Express includes accommodation, meals, beverages (light drinks, tea, coffee, and mineral water), Indian wines (in house brands), butler service, and porter-age at stations, guided tours and entrance fees at monuments. The tariff however does not include taxes, insurances, alcoholic beverages, telephone calls, laundry, and fees of video and professional cameras.

The above cost is a per person per Journey Cost.

Prices are subject to change incase of any amendment in the routing or any other hikes such as fuel, taxes etc.
Children below 5 years of age can travel for free.

The cancellation policy that is followed by the train is as:

If cancelled 90 days or more prior to departure date, then 25% of the published tour cost is deducted
If cancelled 89-60 days prior to departure date, then 50% of the published tour cost is deducted
If cancelled 59-0 days prior to departure date, then 100% of the published tour cost is deducted
If you fail to show up on the departure date, then 100% of the published tour cost is deducted
