01

Arrival in Mumbai - Ellora Caves

Today after your arrival at the ChhatrapatiShivaji Terminus at 1530 hours, registration is done. You are greeted in a traditional way by the crew of Deccan Odyssey and escorted to your suite. The train whistles off to your first destination Aurangabad.

Dinner and overnight stay at the train.

Aurangabad – Ellora Caves

Today you enter another important site of the Mughal Empire, Aurangabad. After breakfast spend rest of the morning at the train, enjoying the premium services and amenities of Deccan Odyssey. You also have the option to go for a rejuvenating spa massage at a luxury city hotel.

After lunch you head towards the rock cut caves of the 4th and 5th century, Ellora Caves. Total 34 in number, these caves are adorned with sculptures and paintings colored with natural pigments; fresh and beautiful till date. You also visit the 12th century Daulatabad Fort, which portrays the lifestyle of the Mughal era with the presence of Elephant Tank, Jami Masjid, Chini Mahal and Chand Minar.

Return to Deccan Odyssey to get refreshed. Donner is arranged at a city hotel, so that you can taste authentic Mughal cuisines. Overnight stay is at the train.

Aurangabad

Today after breakfast you head towards Aurangabad for a sightseeing tour. Bibi-Ka-Maqbara is a beautiful minaret encircled with green meadows and with a striking resemblance to Taj Mahal. Explore the unique weaving of Himroo fabric, which dates back to the 14th century, reign of Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb.
Return to Deccan Odyssey to chill out at the train lounge, with high quality beverages of the Mumbai-Hi. Dinner and night stay at the train.

Pench National Park (Ramtek)

This morning, wake up with the first ray of the sun and get ready to explore the beauty of Pench National Park as the Deccan Odyssey reaches Ramtek. One of the most popular tourist destinations of Today after breakfast you set on an exhilarating tour to the Pench National Park. Nestled between the hills and the dales the forest is a natural habitat of the wild cats. Go on a safari ride through the forest to check out the hopping langurs, the sly leopards, cool antelopes, grazing herds of nilgai and flying squirrels along with 285 avian species. Pench also offers thrilling river rafting opportunity.
Return to the train for brunch and get back to explore the rest of the forest area.
Return to the train at evening for dinner and night stay.

Tadoba Tiger Reserve

Today open your eyes for another memorable day at the jungles. The Tadoba Tiger Reserve welcomes you with the tweets of 280 species of colorful birds; the playing tiger cubs, various kinds of deer, wild dogs and sloth bears are the other treasures of the forest.
Return to Deccan Odyssey to chill out with friends, sipping your favorite drink or beverage at the Mumbai-Hi.Dinner and night stay at the train.

Jalgaon – Ajanta Caves

Today another phase of history unfolds as you check in Jalgaon, the UNESCO world heritage site of Ajanta Caves. These 4th and 5th century rock cut caves are majorly influenced with Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. The sculptures and paintings of the caves narrate the mythological stories related to these religions.

Return to Deccan Odyssey for lunch and the train chugs off to Nashik. Relax at the train, enjoying indoor games or comfort yourself with an onboard spa massage.

There is dinner and overnight stay at the train.

Nashik

Today you are at the divine city of Nashik. Disembark the train to stroll at the banks of the sacred River Godavari, where you can witness the various Hindu rituals being performed by the devotees. You also have some time in hand to pass through the local markets, experience the lifestyle of a small town and shop souvenirs.

Your next destination is the Grover Zampa vineyards. Walk along the lines of Chardonnay, Chenin, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape vines witnessing the impressive process of wine production.

Return to Deccan Odyssey for dinner and night stay.

Departure

Today after an onboard breakfast you bid goodbye to the crew of Deccan Odyssey and disembark the train at ChhatrapatiShivaji Terminus Railway Station of Mumbai.

The above costs are per cabin per Journey.
Presidential Suite can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (Applicable for Children below 12 years
GST will be charged extra as per the Government Rule.
Prices are subject to change incase of any amendment in the routing or other hikes such as fuel, taxes etc.
Child rates are applicable from 6 to 12 years.

The booking policies:

You are required to pay 20% of ticket value at the time of booking confirmation.
Rest 80% of the ticket value is to be paid 45 days before departure.

The cancellation policies applicable to the Indian Odyssey are:

Any cancellation must be advised immediately by Email and subsequently confirmed by letter to the Central Reservation Division
If the cancellation is made 60 days prior to departure, no cancellation crarges.
20% of ticket value 45-59 days prior to departure.
50% of ticket value 30-44 days prior to departure.
100% ticket value will be retained, if cancelled 29 days prior to commencement of Train journey.
