Arrival in Delhi

Today after you reach Delhi railway station at 2015 hours, formalities are completed and greeted in a traditional way with a welcome drink. You are escorted to your cabin and the whistle blows to take you to Sawai Madhopur.
There is dinner and overnight stay at the train.

02

Sawai Madhopur - Ranthambore National Park

After breakfast you head towards one of the most popular national parks of India, Ranthambhore National Park. With its huge population of Royal Bengal tigers, this park offers you some rare views of hunting tigers. Explore the forest on an elephant or jeep safari; the grazing herds of nilgai, chinkara, gazelles, sambar, chausingha and elephants stroll in mood while the colourful kingfishers, woodpeckers, hornbills, cuckoos and pelicans enhance the beauty of the jungles. Checkout the rustic life of the jungles at the nearby villages and afterwards enjoy some royal moments with hi-tea at the Swai Madhopur lodge.
Return to the train for dinner and night stay.

Agra

Today you reach the city of architectural wonders, Agra. After breakfast you disembark the train to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal. The memorial was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It is magical changing colour with every phase of the day and precious being studded with semi-precious stones and rare Arabic inscriptions.

Lunch is arranged at one of the premium city hotels and afterwards you head towards Itmad-ud-Daulah, the first marble structure of Mughal age. Considered to be a draft of Taj Mahal, it is a gracious structure with intricate designs. You are also taken to the mighty Agra Fort, a red sandstone city. While the grand Delhi gateway is magnificent with marble inlays, the palatial palaces, assembly halls and mosques reflect the lavish lifestyle of the Mughals.

You may spent some time shopping the marble inlays, leather shoes and hand woven carpets of Agra or return to the train for a soothing spa massage. Dinner and night stay are arranged at the train.

Jaipur

Today you awake at one of the most colourful cities of India, the Pink City of Jaipur. After an onboard breakfast, you step down for a sightseeing tour. Ride on a painted elephant to the Amber Fort, located at the top of a hill. With majestic gateways, lattice designed interiors and thick walls; this 17th century fort is a blend of power and passion. While the Palace of Winds is an amazing piece of architecture with numerous balconies and windows, the ancient observatory of Jantar Mantar treasures the largest stone sundial of the world. Visit the City Palace to get a vibe of the luxury of the Rajput monarchs. The museum of the palace stores the royal belongings, armours, ancient coins and portraits.

Return to Deccan Odyssey for lunch and afterwards rejuvenate yourself with a spa massage at one of the top star city hotels of Jaipur. You may also opt to go on a shopping spree at the local markets, which are stacked with colourful boutique apparels, leather shoes, antique jewelleries, paintings, traditional bangles and paintings; you may even try out the mehendi designs of the place. There is dinner and overnight stay at the train.

Udaipur

Today you are at the oasis of the Thar Deserts, Udaipur. After breakfast, step at the Venice of the East. Your first visit is to the City Palace, which is exquisitely beautiful with white domes, spacious pavilions, hanging gardens and a large crystal gallery. Enjoy a boat cruise over the blue waters of Lake Pichola which takes you to the Jag Mandir Palace, located on an island, at the heart of the lake. Relish an authentic Rajasthani dinner here as the water ripples round you and the melody of tabla and jal tarang fills the air.

After lunch you return to Deccan Odyssey to rest at the comfort of your suite. Later you may go on a heritage walk through the old historic lanes of Jaipur. Dinner is served onboard and the train leaves for Vadodara.

Vadodara

Today you are at the capital city of the Gaekwads, Vadodara. After nreakfast you visit one of the only Islamic cities of India that existed even before the Mughals entered India, the world heritage site of Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park. Among the numerous palaces, forts and mausoleums of this old city, the Jama Masjid is most popular with its blend of Hindu and Islamic style of architecture. After lunch onboard, you drive to Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum to check out the relics os the royal era of Gujarat; this museum used to be the educational institute for the royal kids. Chat and know about the royal life of the city enjoying hi-tea with the royal family at the Laxmi Vilas Palace. This 1890 palace is a storehouse of ancient armours, marble engraved sculptures, handicrafts made of terracotta and bronze. Entertain yourself with local cultural programmes and a delectable dinner of local cuisines.

Rest for night at the train as it leaves for Aurangabad.

Aurangabad – Ellora Caves

Today morning enjoy the extraordinary ambience and service of Deccan Odyssey, relishing a tasty breakfast. You reach Aurangabad at afternoon. After lunch you disembark the train to head off towards the Ellora Caves. These are a cluster of rock cut caves sculpted and decorated with awestrucking sculptures by the Buddhist monks who used to reside here during the 4th and 5th century.

Return to the train after visiting the caves and entertain your evening with sundowners at Mumbai-hi, followed by dinner. There is overnight stay at the train.

Mumbai

Today the train chugs into Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station of Mumbai. After an onboard breakfast, bid goodbye to the staff of Deccan Odyssey and disembark the train.

The above costs are per cabin per Journey.
Presidential Suite can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (Applicable for Children below 12 years
GST will be charged extra as per the Government Rule.
Prices are subject to change incase of any amendment in the routing or other hikes such as fuel, taxes etc.
Child rates are applicable from 6 to 12 years.

The booking policies:

You are required to pay 20% of ticket value at the time of booking confirmation.
Rest 80% of the ticket value is to be paid 45 days before departure.

The cancellation policies applicable to the Indian Odyssey are:

Any cancellation must be advised immediately by Email and subsequently confirmed by letter to the Central Reservation Division
If the cancellation is made 60 days prior to departure, no cancellation crarges.
20% of ticket value 45-59 days prior to departure.
50% of ticket value 30-44 days prior to departure.
100% ticket value will be retained, if cancelled 29 days prior to commencement of Train journey.
