THE CAPTIVATING TAJ MAHAL
Also called the symbol of love, Tajmahal whose Persian meaning is the
“crown palace”, was built by Shahjahan in the remembrance of his beautiful wife Mumtaz mahal. It is one of the most and frequently visited monument all around the world. Also referred to as the white wonder,
Tajmahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Tajmahal is a legendary story of a husband’s love for his wife etched in stone which is why it is called the epitome of love. Foreigners from all around the world come to Agra to see this majestic tribute to beauty and love. Even after more than 350 yrs, Taj Mahal has not lost the romantic aura around it. It has been also a great inspiration for a lot of poets, lovers, painters and authors. The commemorative plaque of the queen is inlaid with stunning jewels. EXCURSION IN AGRA

beautiful mosque can also be seen at Fatehpur Sikri. What is not to be missed here is the Buland Darwaza which is a lofty gateway to the famous Jama Masjid. Jama Masjid is the largest mosque in India and said to be the copy of the main mosque at Mecca. Inside the Jama Masjid, there is a sacred shrine of Sufi saint Salim Chisti. . It was built as a thanks to the saint, who predicted that emperor Akbar would have three sons and the following year he had a son and the emperor named him Salim after the saint . Till date there is a strong belief to this story and many childless couples visit the shrine of Sheikh Salim Chisthi seeking accomplishment of their wishes. An up Talco is a beautifully ornamented pool with a platform in the centre which can be reached by a small bridge.
The royal singer Tansen used to sit on this platform in the centre of the pool and perform for the emperor. There are many more complexes here at fatehpur sikri to be seen like The Panch Mahal, Jodha Bai’s Palace, Hawa Mahal and the birbal Palace.
