Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Delhi
Welcome to the royal style Indian journey. Here on the first day of your tour we will take you to Delhi Cantonment Railway Station in order to catch the Palace on Wheels train. This train is designed with all the possible luxuries to make you travel through all the fantastic places of the country in a Maharaja style. You journey will start at 1800 Hours and the Dinner will be served to you at 2000 Hours on board.
Day 2 Jaipur
On the next day at 00:00 Hours you will reach the Pink city of Rajasthan, Jaipur. The place is very much known from thousands of years for its royal look and historical monuments. Jaipur assures you with each and every detailed experience of royal Indian history, where Rajas and Maharajs ruled whole state in their own style. This is the only place which let you know about the royal living of India and fill you with enthusiasm. Main attraction of city includes Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Amber Fort and Jantar Mantar.
1900 Hours: Departure for Jaisalmer.
2000 Hours: Dinner on board.
Day 3 Jaisalmer
0615 Hours: Arrival in Jaisalmer.
0730 Hours: Breakfast on board.
0830 Hours: Sightseeing.
The royal train tour takes you to Jaisalmer on the very next day. The place is famous for Thar Desert, which actually reminds you of Sahara Desert. The place full of sand is one of the most loved tourist destinations of India. Here, tourists come to experience the royal cum desert beauty. For sure you will be missing this mixture while visiting a desert somewhere else.
1300 Hours: Lunch on board and rest.
1700 Hours: Visit the sand dunes and experience the thrill of a camel safari.
1930 Hours: Dine while enjoying a cultural programme.
2300 Hours: Departure for Jodhpur.
Day 4 Jodhpur
0730 Hours: Breakfast on board.
0800 Hours: Arrival in Jodhpur.
0830 Hours: Sightseeing.
1300 Hours: Lunch at the Umaid Bhawan Palace.
The fourth day of this tour welcomes you in the Jodhpur city. This Rajasthan based city is famous for Mehrangarh Fort which is standing tall and strong here since 15th century. Jodhpur is also noted as the second largest city of Rajasthan which is covered with a 10 Km long wall and 6 entrance gates on it. The Umaid Bhawan Palace hotel here is said to be the biggest private residence of single individual.
1530 Hours: Departure for Sawai Madhopur.
2000 Hours: Dinner on board.
Day 5 Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary
0615 Hours: Arrival in Sawai Madhopur.
0630 Hours: Breakfast on board.
0700 Hours: Visit the Ranthambhore National Park.
On your arrival to Sawai Madhopur on the fifth day of the tour, you will experience the wild things. Here, the Ranthambore Wildlife Sanctuary is famous for deadly and lively tigers. Besides this, you can also see up to 300 different species here. Other attractions like Lake Palaces, old fortifications and chhatris also awaits you here.
Afternoon: Chittaurgarh Fort
1100 Hours: Departure for Chittaurgarh.
1300 Hours: Lunch on board.
1530 Hours: Arrival in Chittaurgarh.
1600 Hours: Sightseeing.
On the same day, you will also get to see the city names Chittaurgarh, where Chittaurgarh palace stands as the main attraction for visitors. This place is famous for the ‘jauhar’ performed by the women to escape the British trap.
Day 6 Udaipur
0645 Hours: Breakfast on board.
0730 Hours: Depart for Sightseeing.
1230 Hours: Lunch at the Lake Palace Hotel.
The sixth day of this train tour welcomes you in the ‘city of lakes’ Udaipur. The city is well known for its romance spread in the air. It also explains the royal story of India through its palaces like Jag Mandir and Jag Niwas. The architecture here also plays an important role to attract the visitors.
1800 Hours: Return from Sightseeing.
2000 Hours: Departure for Bharatpur.

Day 7 Agra
On the seventh day of this package, we welcome you to the city of Taj Mahal, Agra. Here the train arrives in the city to make you visit the symbol of love ‘Taj Mahal’. This most known monument was build by Shahajahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
On the same afternoon, we will schedule your visit to the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. The birds like Siberian cranes, Egrets and migratory water fowl makes this place more known to the world.
Day 8 Delhi
On the eighth or the last day of tour we will safely make you reach the Delhi station, from where you will be taking flight or another train for your onwards journey.
The 7 Nights weekly tour on this Maharaja Train departs from Delhi every Wednesday evening (from Sept to April) & you may book them for minimum four Nights also.
