Elephants are delight to see no matter how old you are. Think of an experience of watching elephants bath in clear water. 3. Watching flowers bloom once in 13 years

Kurinji is a flower that is found in Munnar, a hill station in Kerala. This violet coloured flower has a speciality. It blooms once in 12 years only. If you visit during the right season, you can take a hike on Rajamalai Mountain. Half way through the mountain you can find patches of these flowers blooming. 4. Float on Veli Lake

Veli Lake is located in Veli tourist village which is 8 km away from Trivandrum. The lake is filled with lotus flowers and has other lake related attractions too. But, the best activity to enjoy here is the floating restaurant. After a good meal, you can hire a paddle boat and sail through the waters to check out the floating bridge that connects this village with the beach.  5. Shikara rides

Shikara is similar to houseboat but, it can accommodate a lot of people in it. Alappuzha is an important tourist destination and backwater paradise in Kerala. 6. Snake boat race

If you happen to visit Kerala during the tourism peak season which lasts from July to September, you can watch the snake boat race. Onam is a festival that is celebrated in Kerala. During this festival, people celebrate by racing snake boats on the backwaters of Alappuzha. Snake Boat Race is a long and slender looking catamaran. About fifty people ride each boat with manual oars and the first boat to reach the finish line wins. You can also rent a boat to watch the race from water, in close quarters. 10. Drenched in Athirapally falls

Athirapally Falls is located 55 km away from the Kochi International Airport. This waterfall is 80 feet tall and during monsoon season, this place would be a paradise. A lot of people visit this falls for getting massages, enjoying falls and also for picnic. The best time to visit this fall is during monsoon season which extends from June to middle of September.
